By-pass units provide continuous contamination control for those operations that have reservoirs of substantial size to need more than just single filtration units. The use of multiple industrial filters can significantly reduce fine particles in the oils while providing appropriate volumes of oil to be filtered. Units can be fitted with special variable pressure control valves with reliefs for use with system pressures  or can be supplied with its own pump and motor for constant volume and pressure.

These units can provide acceptable ISO counts in either configuration. Suggested uses for the units using system pressures are draglines, haul trucks, stationary engines, injection molding machines, and industrial hydraulic reservoirs. Some suggested uses for the units with pumps and motors are large sump stationary engines, crushers, bulk fuel, bulk oils, gas turbine lubrication, and blow molding machine hydraulics.
